Contract Law

At Andreas Danos law firm we provide leading professional assistance with any issue related to the laws governing international sales and agreements as well as litigation that may arise out of these agreements. Our professional services include:

  • Advise with regards to a contract of sale
  • The drafting of a contract of sale and
  • Court representation if litigation arises out of the contractual relationship.

A contract can be verbal, written or e-communication and it can only be made by a person providing they are of sound mind and of legal age.

Consider this fact, forming a contract with a company however, can be a little different as company directors are governed by their own set of regulations known as Memorandum of Association, and therefore any contracts formed must be within their company limitations for the contract to be considered legal.

Surprisingly, breaches of contract occur more often than not and ranges from any product or service large or small. It makes no difference if it is a new dress or a new house.

A breach of contract is where one or more parties do not fulfill their obligations under the contract in which they signed. Usually in the case of a breach, the non breaching party should inform the breaching party by written notice that there has been a breach so that they can be fully aware of it and correct it. It is only after the written notice that court proceedings can be brought against the breaching party. The non breaching party can cancel the contract if a severe breach has been performed.

With significant experience in structuring transactions to address the complex economic/strategic goals of transaction and business venture participants, our commercial legal team focuses on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, shareholders agreements, company and partnership formations and maintenance, capital markets and securities, Cyprus company formation and general corporate representation.

Our practice also provides support for companies, corporate groups, enterprises, in-house legal teams and individuals in respect of commercial contracts and agreements covering all aspects of commercial transactions. These include sale and lease of movable and immovable property, provision of services, franchise agreements, logistics agreements, license agreements, distributorship agreements and other types of contracts.

We also apply our leading negotiation skills on negotiations for the acquisition of your home, land or business here in Cyprus and abroad.

Finally we can protect you in the event an individual or business has been paid for work, goods they have not delivered.
